Star international School, Mirdif, is one of the four operational campuses belonging to Star Education, a subsidiary of ETA STAR ASCON. We offer the National Curriculum of England from Foundation Stage One to Year Five and will add Year Six in September 2010. The secondary curriculum will be available from September 2011. Since the explosive growth of the central part of Dubai, many of the outlying suburbs have become sought after as residential areas with a community and family feel. Mirdif is amongst the most prominent of these suburbs and whilst it is still a relatively quiet neighborhood the available services have expanded to be equal to that of any quarter. It is literally five minutes from the Dubai International Airport, Festival City and, equally important to many, the unspoilt dunes of Khawaneej! Mirdif is equally divided into two sections on either side of the Uptown development and Star International School is nestled into a secluded cul-de-sac within the western half. We are surrounded by residential compounds on three flanks and screened from the nearest main road by a small supermarket. Two minutes’ walk from our campus is the newly built Mirdif Park, which will allow us to take the children on regular outings without transport!

Star Educationcommenced operations several years ago in Dubai under the guidance of Mrs Maryam Salahuddin, daughter of Mr. Syed Salahuddin who is the Group MD.

Star International School, Al Twar, was the first venture as an NCE school in Dubai, qualifying as a full member of British Schools Middle East. At the beginning of 2007, another campus was acquired by the division and commenced as a CBSE (Indian Curriculum) school in Sharjah. Following the success of these two schools, construction began in the suburbs of Mirdif and Umm Sheif on two unique and outstanding buildings, both of which have been operational NCE schools since September 2008.
